Accessibility Statement

We want this website — and our office — to be usable by everyone, including patients with hearing, vision, mobility or cognitive disabilities.

Our approach

This website has been built with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as its reference standard. In practice that means:

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single, logical heading hierarchy on every page
  • All functionality available by keyboard, with visible focus indicators
  • Text and interface colors chosen to meet contrast requirements
  • Form fields with associated labels, and error and help text that is programmatically linked
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
  • Content that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport
  • Touch targets sized for comfortable use on a phone
  • Reduced-motion preferences respected — animation is suppressed when a visitor asks their system for it
  • Page content that remains fully readable if JavaScript does not load

Accessibility at our office

Placeholder — physical accessibility details

Add accurate information about the building at 233 E Shore Rd: step-free entry, elevator access to Suite 210, accessible parking and restrooms, and any assistance available on arrival. Patients rely on this to plan a visit, so it must reflect the actual building.

Communication access

Placeholder — communication accommodations

Describe accommodations the practice can offer — for example written communication during appointments, assistive listening equipment in consultation rooms, extra appointment time, or arrangements for sign language interpretation. Only list what the practice can genuinely provide.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-off task. We review this site as content is added, and we welcome reports of anything that does not work as it should.
